Site Edit Mode

The upper left corner of pages of a standard YetaWF site displays an icon which allows switching between Site Edit Mode and Site View Mode (using the Page Edit Mode Selector Module).

Editing Features

Only authorized users can switch to Site Edit Mode, which allows to edit modules and their settings. Once in Site Edit Mode, additional module icons and actions are available and all available panes are visible.

Edit Mode

In Site Edit Mode, many modules render differently than in Site View Mode. In this example, the Text Module allows editing its contents using CKEdit (a full featured editor).

Additional actions are available for most modules displayed along the bottom of the module.

When the mouse cursor hovers over a module in Site Edit Mode, the background color of the module changes so the module's dimensions are easily identifiable.

Module Menu

When the mouse cursor hovers in the upper left corner of a module, the Module Menu is opened, providing access to the module's actions along with additional actions to move the module to another pane or within the pane.

Module Menu

The available actions are module specific. Depending on where the module is located Move To and Move menu entries are available, which can be used to move the module to another pane or move the module within the pane.

Most modules offer Module Settings which display a list of properties for module customization.

If a module stores some form of data, exporting module data to a ZIP file is provided using the Export Module menu entry. Exported module data can then be imported using Control Panel, Import Module tab, which creates a new module. This is an easy way to make a duplicate of a module so the copy can be modified.

The Localization Resource action displays and manages localization resources for the package implementing the module. It is used to translate all strings and resources used by a package into another language. For more information see National Language Support.
